This entire website was made with Astro. It's a nifty little framework, it allows me to create cool reusable components, and at the same time everything gets built to small individual HTML files, without a JS bundle, so the website is very lightweight, like in the good old days of the internet. On top of that I added optimizations to HTML/CSS files to make them even smaller, so the code isn't very readable. I'll put all the actual source code on a gitlab when i'm done, I promise!

As for the hosting, for now it's on the basic hosting that comes bundled with Infomaniak's domain name plan. It's a bit hard to find but it lets you use an Apache server with 10MB of storage that you can access over FTP (😭). I made a whole deployment pipeline from gitlab, it's really fun to do. It'll also be in the source code when i share it.

No LLMs were used in the making of this website.

About poti.chat

It's a pun that gets completely lost in translation. "chat", on top of being an English word that made for a very expensive TLD thanks to AI grifters, is also the French word for "cat". When I realised it was possible to have a ".chat" domain I just knew I had to go for it. Technically ".cat" is also possible but it requires being about Catalonia or being in Catalan, neither of which I'm really interested in − although I did consider providing a third language option to this website for that purpose. It would have been cheaper, too.
What about "poti" then? I tried miaou.chat ("meow.cat") but it was already taken. I tried petit.chat ("small.cat") but it was taken too. I tried a few others, but all the good ones were already taken. So I settled for the next best thing. A funny misspelling. "poti" is just misspelled "petit". "poti chat" means "smol cat". There you have it :3
